David Ward, CEO and Founder of The Nurturing Co

A leader in the sustainable product market and the founder of the Creative Engine of The Nurturing Co, David Ward owns the brand Bambooloo. Since its inception, Bambooloo has become highly acclaimed for its plastic-free products, such as bamboo toilet paper, facial tissues, kitchen rolls and baby wipes. David is the key creative force behind Bambooloo and is often designing and testing out future products for the brand.

It’s the first sustainable hygiene product brand to have received the ESGmark® accreditation, and the first to be funded by Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, under their USD $50 million Razer Green Fund. Bambooloo has also partnered with Seven Clean Seas to clean up 1kg of plastic from the ocean for every 100 rolls sold.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ward launched NAT:Mask©, a face covering made out of a trio of bamboo, cotton and silk with a bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) of 95 and above to keep you safe, sustainable and stylish. David has always valued transparency throughout the product design process and can commonly be seen sharing and gaining feedback, on upcoming products and initiatives, from his community on LinkedIn and Instagram.

In the meantime, he founded Wipeless, a bidet brand that is targeted at further reducing the carbon and water used by individuals everyday, as well as steering The Nurturing Co to winning Best Social Enterprise 2019 at the Sustainable Business Awards in Singapore and the Best Social Impact 2020 at the Asian Startup Awards. David continues to be actively involved in the eco-conscious business community and often speaks at panels and is sharing more about the brand at events.
