Bambooloo® launches in Malaysia through partner Starkers

First shipment of Bambooloo products reaches Malaysia

(28 December 2020) Next generation sustainable products company, Bambooloo, has launched into the Malaysian market in December 2020 through their partner Starkers who is based in Johor Bahru. Starkers is a planet friendly grocer and café that offers healthy bulk dry food, fresh produce, refillable household cleaning and personal care products that are all free of plastic. Starkers brought in a few Bambooloo products to their store in April 2020 and due to highly positive consumer response, the brands decided to partner together. Starkers now carries Bambooloo toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and facial tissues.

The toilet rolls come in Bambooloo’s GrabBags that is a zero-plastic retail ready packaging, a carton of 36 rolls and 96 rolls. Bambooloo is also currently in talks with two big supermarket chains in Malaysia and would soon be available in Malaysian supermarkets. Bambooloo products are available in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and soon the UK.

“We are very excited to be the first to bring in Bambooloo products in Malaysia! The brand is in line with our own mission at Starkers, to reduce single-use plastic and provide sustainable options at our retail shop. Not only will we be selling Bambooloo products, we will also serve as a wholesaler to all zero waste shops and eco-conscious supermarkets in Malaysia.” added Sharina and Alan, the founders of Starkers.

The team at Starkers are as dedicated to help bring lowering impacting sustainable alternatives to consumers in Malaysia as we are. We have been asked by so many consumers when we will be in Malaysia, and against the difficulties we all still face we are very proud to say we are now here.” added David Ward, the CEO and Founder of The Nurturing Co.
